Fans of 1999’s cult adventure game Outcast might want to pop over to the blog of developer Franck Sauer, a member of the development team who saw their planned PS2 sequel cancelled.
There’s plenty of juicy behind-the-scenes content showing what might have been if producers Infogrames hadn’t hit some crippling financial issues. Franck also elucidates some of the history behind the cancelled game, and there’s a video of the alpha-stage game in action.
It all looks very pretty, leaving fans of the original to wonder what might have been.
Thanks to DSO Gaming for the initial find.
