Discord Games’ 2D action RPG Chasm has battled its way to Kickstarter success over the weekend, getting almost $200k from just under 7k backers. Their stretch goals are still on the table thanks to pre-orders.
The action-RPG boasts procedurally created Metroid-like dungeons, presented in ”authentic pixel art.” A demo is available to try and there’s a Steam Greenlight campaign.
The Kickstarter crowd managed to unlock an extended soundtrack and achievements for Chasm, with some tempting morsels further down the line like crafting.
In order to keep project going with plenty of money piles to siphon, and maybe more features to cram in, Discord has opened up a pre-order option which grant goodies depending on your choice of bronze, silver or gold tiers. All this goes toward those same Kickstarter stretch goals and so New Game+ is still within reach.
