505 Games has announced that Payday 2 will be hitting store shelves this coming August 2013 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, while the PC version will be digital only on Steam.
The game was originally going to be released on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network but according to the developer, ”We have a bit of a problem here at Overkill – there are just too many great ideas and none that we were really happy to throw out - so Payday 2 has become just too big to reserve release on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network alone.”
The original Payday: The Heist was released on PC and PlayStation 3 on the 20th October 2011, and earned generally positive reviews.
