Proxy Studios has announced that their science fiction 4X game Pandora: First Contact is now available from Slitherine. The game is being hailed as a “spiritual successor” to the classic Sid Meier title Alpha Centauri.
The game allows players to explore a world with generated eco-regions of all times, as players much deal with the natural wildlife and other enemy factions; like Alpha Centauri, the planet itself will react to the player’s actions.
As for the Civ-style features, the game will feature a dynamic migration system in which citizens of the planet will migrate to stay with the ruler who represents their best interests. The game features ”a vast randomized research tree spanning dozens of technologies” which affects operations, buildings, units, weapons, and more.
