Sony has announced that it will be shuttering online gameplay for three of its shooters, M.A.G., SOCOM 4: US Navy Seals and SOCOM: Confrontation in a few months.
The publisher advised in a tweet, ”Advisory: Online multiplayer services for MAG, SOCOM Confrontation, and SOCOM 4 will be ending on 01/28/14.”
Since M.A.G. and SOCOM: Confrontation are online-only games, they will be rendered unplayable without server support. SOCOM 4 does have an offline mode.
Zipper Interactive, which worked on M.A.G. and SOCOM: Confrontation, was closed by Sony back in March 2012.
