For a game that’s officially in pre-Alpha, action-RPG Sui Generis is looking mighty fine. It’s a top-down game with its combat based on realistic physics, so characters ‘feel’ the force of weapons when parrying.
There are also the deadly and silent ambushes of chairs in the way, forever plotting to have our hero trip and look like a total boob. Dev Blue Mettle is aiming for a May 2014 release.
Sui Generis is happening thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign. It’s hard to exactly capture how a physics-based action-RPG works, and so it’s best to just watch.
