Valve has announced that this Steam Weekend’s free game will be id Software’s ambitious shooter Rage. The game will be free to play on Steam, and 75% off for purchases.
Rage was released back in September 2011 for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and did not sell to expectations. The game, using id Tech 5, revolved around Apophis striking the Earth and devastating the world, leaving it an apocalyptic wasteland.
Strategy Informer awarded the game a 6.5/10 score in its review.
