Who’da thunk it? Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto V has only gone and jacked the UK all format chart. The real heist in all this is the $1bn Rockstar walked away with after 72 hours of it on sale.
Closely behind - well, not that close - is Konami’s PES 2014 as it enters the charts 2nd. The Last of Us rocketed 3rd from 25th for a comeback tour, and Saints Row IV is 4th.
GTA V has become the UK’s 25th biggest selling title in the history of the chart, which is 11th biggest for Xbox 360 and 10th on PS3. It sold more than all other GTA launches combined.
The platform share is split 57-43 to Xbox 360, and it beat Grand Theft Auto IV 2.4 times over and even nipped ahead of Call of Duty: Black Ops by nearly 250k units. Below is the UK all format chart for the week ending September 21st.
