Sandswept Studio’s multiplayer survival-horror sandbox, The Dead Linger, has shuffled its way onto Steam Early Access having cleared the Greenlight process. It offers a ”planet-sized world” of the undead.
It has procedurally generated worlds, and zombies that stick to the shuffling speed limit. While in alpha, players can still create items, barricades, make fires and interact galore.
The indie studio is offering the game at a cheaper price during the alpha, while the arrival of the beta promises vehicles, better AI, weather, customisation and friendlies.
Sandswept say this is a ‘zombie survival game’ and not ‘just a zombie game’ - they want us sweating with chums as we try to eke out an existence in this bleak post-infection world. Visit the official website for the ‘development roadmap’.
It’s available via Steam Early Access for £14.99, or at £44.99 for four copies.
