Call of Duty: Ghosts will get its fourth and final DLC pack next week on Xbox, with the PC version to follow on as usual. Nemesis will add four new maps, as usual, and packs the very last chapter of the entertaining co-op Extinction mode.
The final mission, Exodus, tasks players with fending off a mass alien attack on the human resistance base, and rescuing key civilian personnel by sticking them on a shuttle and launching them into space.
Sorry, I should explain the new multiplayer maps as well. it’s just that Extinction is about the only the thing in Ghosts that I liked. So, without further ado:
Subzero - Takes place in an evacuated submarine base, which contains “a mysterious terror that will decimate your enemies” when you complete a specific Field Order.
Goldrush - Set in an abandoned gold mine with tight corridors and some Indiana Jones-style mine-cart madness. In this one completing the Field Order summons some ravenous wolves to eat your foes.
Dynasty - Blow the crap out of a peaceful Chinese village. Surprisingly you can’t summon a Chinese dragon or anything. Just a load of jump-jets.
Showtime - Is a reworked version of Modern Warfare’s Shipment map. Pfft.
Nemesis costs $14.99 if you don’t happen to own a Ghosts Season Pass. Typically the Microsoft exclusivity deal means Xbox players get the DLC about a month before everyone else, so look for Nemesis on PC in early September.
