BattleGoat Studios has announced Supreme Ruler Ultimate, a new title that incorporates all of its other Supreme Ruler games into one super-package take a nation from the early days of World War Two into the near future of 2020.
So sort of a complete collection, but one that glues all the individual games together. Quite a neat concept.
”Our recent release of Supreme Ruler 1936 has proven to be very popular with our fans and strategy/wargame players as it revolves around World War II, but one of the biggest requests we’ve received has been to blend it with the near future game we released back in 2008,” says lead designer David Thompson.
Supreme Ruler Ultimate bundles up Supreme Ruler 1936, Supreme Ruler: Cold War and Supreme Ruler 2020. Thompson says that BattleGoat will continue to add ”historic events and content to the game for players that want to start in the 20th century”, as well as updating the near future portion of the game with references to emerging technology and current international crises.
So when we’re all fighting for the last scraps of irradiated meat in the nuclear wastelands of 2017, you’ll be able to simulate it in your underground bunker. Lovely.
Supreme Ruler Ultimate will be released this October 17 for the PC. There will be an Early Access Beta soon. Owners of Supreme Ruler 1936 will be given a special upgrade price to the new title.
