Oh look, another open-world voxel-based solo or co-op sandbox procedurally generated world for us to play in, which isn’t finished yet. Rising World doesn’t sound too different from that other game we know.
It certainly looks different though, and isn’t all that blocky - in fact you could say its striving for a more realistic voxel world that’s much friendlier to modern architectural designs and corporate strip mining.
”Starting with the most basic of tools, collect resources to survive in the wildness. Evolve your world to create one of the biggest cities of all time or a gigantic castle, or simply let your imagination run riot! If being creative is all too much, just connect with your friends and get them to help.”
Yeah - it definitely sounds like that other game but it’s less 8-bit and more real-lifey. Apparently its big on object interaction and even lets us play a piano. As long as we can kick back and watch our Netflix subscriptions through our voxel TV home theatre set-up then full-Steam ahead. I make no apologies.
Rising World releases today on Steam through Early Access.
