This might be the quickest sequel turnaround in video game history. Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is now available on Steam, meaning that you can return to the charming setting of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza house only a couple of months after the first game’s release.
Added to Steam Greenlight last month, the sequel quickly got voted through by a community presumably desperate for more puppet-based scares.
“As the new security guard working nights,” the blurb reads, “your job is to monitor cameras and make sure nothing goes wrong after-hours. The previous guard has complained about the characters trying to get into the office (he has since been moved to day-shift). So to make your job easier, you’ve been provided with your very own empty Freddy Fazbear head, which should fool the animatronic characters into leaving you alone if they should accidentally enter your office.”
There’s not actually that much information on what’s different this time around, apart from a new class of ‘characters’, or flesh-eating puppets to you or me. Anyway, if you liked the first game it looks like there’s more of the same mix of horror and puzzle elements here.
