Revolution Software has announced that Broken Sword 5 – the Serpent’s Curse: Episode Two, the latest installment in the popular adventure series, will be released today at 6pm GMT. This will be the concluding chapter, and will take players across the world to solve a deadly conspiracy.
As adventurer American George Stobbart and French journalist Nico Collard, players will visit Paris and London, hop over to Spanish Catalonia, and eventually wind up in Iraq, all the while pursued by mysterious forces. Expect the series’ trademark wry sense of humour, early on George will apparently have to confront ”a belligerent goat”, as well as exotic locales rendered in colourful and vibrant HD.
“We were delighted with the reception Episode One received from the games’ fans,” said Charles Cecil, founder of Revolution Software in a press release today. “Episode Two takes the gameplay to another level – those who have already experienced Episode One will revel in the conclusion to the tale, while new gamers can enjoy the game in its entirety.
“I am extremely proud of the game and delighted that we have had the opportunity to build a direct relationship with our fans. The release of the game represents the conclusion of an amazing journey in self-funding, through the generosity of our Kickstarter backers, and to publishing the game under the Revolution brand.”
Broken Sword 5 – the Serpent’s Curse: Episode Two will be available for PC, Linux and Mac from Steam, GOG.com and Get Games at 6pm GMT, priced at £18.99.
