My, Lost Ark Online is a very pretty game. Ostensibly a hack and slash in the vein of Diablo 3, you can see the way it puts the Unreal Engine 3 through its paces in this debut gameplay trailer.
Developed by Korean team Smile Gate, Lost Ark takes its particular brand of top-down fantasy violence online, offering 18 different characters to play.
Almost seems a shame to get blood over all those pretty environments, but there you go. It’s hard to find out too much about the game right now, mainly because the game’s website is in Korean. Still, with the first Closed Beta set to kick off next year, I’m sure we’ll find out more soon.
Website Steparu.com reports that the developers are targeting a “global audience”, so there’s a good chance we’ll see the game released in the West as well. Some way to go yet, though - the game’s expected to release late next year.
