DoubleBear Productions has released their latest update for Dead State, and most likely the last one of this year. It addresses a number of issues like quests looping, cars disappearing and pathfinding.
They’ve also increased ”noise dampening” in multi-floor levels to stop zombies magically hearing everything. Perhaps one of the biggest changes is the addition of an autosave function.
The patch tackles a lot of lingering bugs and some glitches, as well as adjustments to triggers for the likes of dialogue, which is rather sparse outside the shelter. Items and armour have had their info beefed up with more, and Vic should finally shut up about going to Coleman.
”The next patch will be in mid to late January, and it will include a mix of content and fixes. We’ll be taking a brief hiatus for the late December holidays in the meantime, although we’ll be checking up on things often,” posted the studio.
Dead State is a turned-based RPG where the player becomes the leader of a shelter at a school in Texas. Our job is take make the hard decisions and lead scavenging parties for materials, food, fuel and medicine. Along the way we’ll encounter hostile, indifferent and even friendly groups.
