Developer Almost Human has released a new pre-order trailer for its dungeon-crawling fantasy sequel Legends of Grimrock 2. Alongside some lovely outdoor exploration/ratman blasting, the video reveals the game’s official release date.
It’s coming October 15, and you can pre-order the game over on the official website. Buying the game nets you both a DRM-free copy and a Steam code.
In Grimrock 2 you still lead a party of four escaped prisoners, but this time you’re shipwrecked on the island of Nex rather than attempting to escape from a dank dungeon. That allows Almost Human to play with some rather more visually interesting environments, as you can see from the trailer. The developer promises ”30 new foes unique to Isle of Nex”, a Dungeon Editor for players to create their own missions and over 20 hours of gameplay.
More monsters, more exploring and more colour. Almost Human is clearly sticking to the tried-and-tested ‘same but bigger’ approach so beloved of sequels to hit games. We wouldn’t have it any other way.
