As the third game in a series all about player choice, Dragon Age: Inquisition has a lot of lore to keep track of. The Dragon Age Keep is Bioware’s method of sorting everything out, a programme that allows players to either upload previous saves into the new game, or create their own world state by choosing from multiple options.
The Keep is in beta testing right now, but some brave soul has ignored the NDA to bring us a few screens showing us how it all works.
Obviously spoilers for both Dragon Age 1 and 2 are rife, so don’t look at these pictures if you’re still planning to play through those. As you can see, the bulk of Keep consists of questionnaires regarding plot points in previous games - whose side you picked, who you recruited, who you tried it on with and who died.
It certainly looks far more in-depth than Mass Effect Genesis, a similiar comic book tool Bioware used for their sci-fi series. What the ramifications will be for all those decisions in Inquisition, we won’t find out until the game releases on November 18. The Keep comes free with any version of the game.
