Warhammer 40,000: Storm of Vengeance is going to be released for the PC on 27th March, 2014, developer Eutechnyx revealed today.
Playing as either the Space Marines or the Orks, players must gather resources, construct buildings, deploy customisable units, unlock a large skill tree and use special powers to overcome their enemies. It’s referred to as a “lane strategy” title, where players must attempt to capture the enemies lanes while defending their own. Special challenge missions will also be given to players with a unique objective.
Warhammer 40,000: Storm of Vengeance features a 50 mission campaign per faction, with simultaneous real time cross platform multiplayer across iOS/Andrioid/Steam.
Eutechnyx assured us at a recent event in London that there will be 3 environments, 5 buildings, 9 units, 5 vehicles and at least 20 weapons available on release. The developer has a comprehensive DLC plan with additional content available on launch, but we aren’t sure if that’ll be free or paid for at the moment.
We should also add for any Warhammer 40k fans out there that the campaign mode is based on the book Purging of Kadillus by Gav Thorpe.
