Instead people are looking at ‘Battlefield: Hardline’, the supposed Police-themed spin-off in the works over at Visceral Games. The evidence begins with new icons.
Apparently the internal ID for these icons, attached to this ‘BFH’, don’t match those of Battlefield Heroes and hence why fans believe they’re onto something.
The proverbial hand-in-the-cookie-jar was discovered by BetterBattlelog. Other miners of data have uncovered mention of Enforcer, Mechanic, Operator, and Professional as apparent classes, with Turf War, Heist and Blood Money as game modes. There’s even mention of a ‘melee combat’ weapon in the form of a police baton. Thieves and SWAT as teams.
E3 is right around the corner and this Battlefield: Hardline, if true, is expected to launch later this year.
