A poster on the official Bioware forums claims to have got their hands on an upcoming issue of OXM which features masses of new information on the upcoming Dragon Age: Inquisition.
Very mild spoilers below, I guess, though nothing plot-related apart from very limited companion information.
Here’s some of the juiciest tidbits:
-
There’s going to be four voice packs to choose from, two male and two female.
-
There will be 5 major regions in the game; Fereldan, The Free Marches, Orlais, Nevarra and the Dales.
-
Three companions are confirmed; Solas, a mage apostate, The Iron Bull, a Qunari outcast and mercenary, and Sera, an elven archer. No companions will be added through DLC, which might be a good idea considering Bioware’s previous on-disc controversies.
-
Apparently there’s a whopping 40 endings, with decisions and actions taken in-game seriously affecting the final outcome.
-
Your Inquisitor is the “sole survivor of a reality-shattering event”, and the only one who can close the portals to the demonic fade that are opening across the world.
This is all still rumour until the magazine is officially available, but it backs up much of what Bioware have been saying about Inquisition. The game is coming to PC, PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One in Fall 2014.
