Vostok Games’ post-apocalyptic, massively multiplayer shooter Survarium is set to launch on Steam Early Access this week, on Thursday, April 2.
Right now you’ll only be able to test out the game’s PvP mode, but others are on the way including the very intriguing Freeplay mode, which will let you explore the irradiated wasteland with friends and strangers.
“The reason for us choosing this format of game and indeed starting development with the PVP mode is to work out the game mechanics in a more simple version of the game before we expand into the Freeplay and Co-Op game modes,” explains Vostok, “and also so we can develop the game in conjunction with you, the community; which is why we greatly value your feedback and suggestions.”
Vostok will typically update the game’s content once per month, as well as provide multiple minor patches to address in-game bugs. Freeplay mode, which you can read more about here, is a pretty ambitious project, so Vostok aren’t ready to talk release schedules for that just yet.
