Another Street Fighter 5 debutante has been revealed, this time a bit ahead of schedule thanks to a leak from major Japanese gaming publication Famitsu (thanks, Eventhubs).
Laura appears to be a Brazilian capoeira expert (oh god, not another Eddy Gordo), though aside from some images of her in action, details on how she plays are fairly thin on the ground.
The leak doesn’t appear to have impressed the game’s producer Yoshinori Ono, who tweeted dramatically that he felt ”stabbed from behind”. He appeared to suggest that a full reveal was set for the Brasil Game Show later this month, which would make sense if Laura is actually Brazilian. Her background stage certainly suggests that’s the case.
There are only two characters left to reveal from the Street Fighter 5 roster. The game is set for release early next year.
