Don’t Starve has been one of the flagships of Klei Entertainment for sometime. Whether you’re surviving the vanilla game, hunting giants in Reign of Giants, or living in the wilds with a friend in Don’t Starve Together, the game has offered tons of hours of fun for its fanbase. The newest entry, Shipwrecked is making its way to Steam Early Access today and there’s a video to promote the release.
Don’t Starve: Shipwrecked sees Wilson crashed on a deserted tropical island after dodging tons of ravenous sea beasts, only to find this island might very well be just as dangerous. New creatures and features lurk around every tree and under the sea waiting to catch Wilson off guard. You’ll once again need to use your craftiness and wits to help Wilson survive.
Shipwrecked is being offered for 10% off right now on Steam, though players will need the original game in order to play. The expansion is compatible with Reign of Giants, but not Don’t Starve Together just yet. Klei Entertainment expressed intention to iron out the kinks in single-player first, although multiplayer is certainly possible in the future.
Players that don’t have the vanilla game or Reign of Giants can pick up a bundle that includes all compatible single-player elements of Don’t Starve for fairly cheap. You can pick it all up now if you’re so inclined.
