Vostok Games’ open world shooter Survarium has received a big patch which, among other changes, readjusts how experience and reputation points are distributed and removed the limit on how much ammunition you can use in combat.
Patch 0.27a is now available for the public to try after a period of testing, and comes with plenty of other tweaks and gameplay additions.
That ammunition change is a little confusing, so I’ll let Vostok explain how it now works.
“Now there is no concept of “storage”, which defined the maximum amount of ammo that you can use in one battle,” the developer explains. “But there is a limit how of much ammo you can carry in a backpack. The cost of emptied cartridges is automatically removed after a battle. If after a battle there’s a negative balance on your account you will be able to fight using only free equipment.”
Other alterations include removing the need to earn reputation in order to buy new types of ammo, and the addition of a whopping ten new weapons. Should keep you busy. You can check out the full list of changes here.
Survarium is currently in open beta, though sadly you can only play PvP mode at present, and not the much more intriguing Freeplay mode. You can download a free client over on the game’s official website.
