A campaign of horror will beset the Dying Light community as Techland have announced ‘Summer with Dying Light’, which consists of ”six specific weekends” that will host ”varied one-time only events” to ramp up the fun.
Beginning this weekend for July 4-5 is Spider-Crane, which bestows ”unlimited grappling hook shots” and virtually no fall damage. Still ongoing right now is the #DrinkforDLC promotion, which started as a spoof.
”This July and August, all zombie-slashing fans have much to look forward to thanks to Techland’s ‘Summer with Dying Light’ campaign. Through six specific weekends players will have a chance to take part in varied one-time only events that will make their playtime even more exciting,” said the studio.
”The campaign starts with the Spider Crane weekend. With unlimited grappling hook shots and almost no fall damage, players will be able traverse the city of Harran like never before.”
“The event starts on Saturday July 4th at midnight 0:00 PST and ends on Sunday, July 5th at midnight 0:00 PST.” The next campaign weekend is titled Harran Marathon, so maybe we can sprint forever? Maybe the undead hordes can sprint forever!
The ‘Summer with Dying Light’ campaign weekends:
July 4-5 (Spider-Crane)
July 11-12 (Harran Marathon)
July 15-16 (TBA)
August 15-16 (TBA)
August 22-23 (TBA)
August 29-30 (TBA)
The #DrinkforDLC social campaign is still chugging back cool glasses of H2O, ”in which players posts pictures of themselves drinking water to unlock future free DLCs for Dying Light which the team are currently designing.” This started in response to Bungie’s energy drink-tied DLC for Destiny and has since taken on a whole life of its own.
Techland recently published a ‘Bug Compilation’ video for Dying Light.
