Intrepid (or impatient) fans have discovered new information for Street Fighter V that point to exactly which characters Capcom intended to reveal. The post comes from Shoryuken.com where one of their forum users going by the handle of “AceKombat” had discovered sound files with the names of characters that have not yet been announced.
Many of the files are simply one second bytes of a female voice saying the character’s names, most likely a character select feature. The list contains all the characters that have already been announced with the addition of classic characters Guile and Bison, Street Fighter 3 characters Ibuki, Alex, and Urien, and Street Fighter IV character Juri. Another name in the list denotes a possible new entry in the series, currently named ”Fan/Fun”
Capcom had announced plans to release six mystery characters following the release of Street Fighter V alongside the announcement of Dhalsim. It’s extremely likely that the characters discovered in the sound files are going to be the characters that were being kept under wraps…
