It always feels a bit strange writing about the “release” of a game that’s been playable for months, but Ubisoft’s action RPG The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot has finally exited open beta and is now officially a game. A full game. It’s complete. You know what I mean.
It’s been over a year since the game popped up on Early Access, during which it’s been bulked up with a bunch of additional content.
To celebrate the launch, Ubisoft has issued a 17% discount for the Infinite Pack, basically a starter set for those that aren’t interested in the whole free-to-play thing. The pack contains all four heroes, a full set of inventory tabs, and few other trinkets to get you started.
“For us the Beta phases served as a way to continue iterating and forging the direction of the game,” writes the game’s executive producer Quentin Gallet. “Now that the core gameplay and tone are locked in, we’re focused on continuing to collaborate with our community to build upon this direction and refine what we have created. The Mighty Quest will receive regular updates with new features and with our community’s help it will continue to grow and improve.”
For the uninitiated, The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot is a free to play hack-and-slasher with an asynchronous multiplayer mode that sees players create trap-filled castles to protect their own treasure hoard, while at the same time trying to loot valuable goodies from everyone else. You can grab the free client from the game’s official website.
