By the unkempt beard of Geralt! CD Projekt RED has just released a highlight of the key changes coming in Patch 1.07 for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. It’s got a number of excellent goodies and is coming to all platforms.
Chief among the list is a player stash which can be accessed from various locations in the world, and will be marked on the map. They’re also making crafting materials weightless, and player inventory gets sorted.
Being able to cram items into a storage chest of some sort has been a highly sort after feature from the community, and coupled with crafting and alchemy ingredients no longer weighing anything, we can finally spend more time adventuring and less time taking stock of our saddlebags.
Books also get their own tab in the player inventory and those already read will be grayed out - another big request from the league of Witchers. Sorting options should help sift through the mountains of crap we accumulate too.
Alchemy formulas are also able to be pinned, as well as crafting diagrams, meaning that all the required materials will be highlighted in shops. The studio has also worked in ”performance enhancements, including the optimization of FX, scenes and general gameplay.”
Our horse Roach should also behave better - indeed, all horses should.
”Since it’s been all hands on deck working to finish and release this patch on time, we won’t be publishing a free DLC this week (don’t worry - free content comes back next week). We hope you understand our decision. We’ve gathered so much feedback from you over the past couple of weeks and we want to implement as much of it as possible,” posted the developer.
A full changelog for Patch 1.07 will be made available later this week.
