XCOM 2 developer Firaxis has released a huge batch of new screens for the highly anticipated alien-hunting strategy sequel, focusing this time on your base of operations, Resistance HQ.
That means we get a much better look at the most important part of XCOM; naming your tiny soldiers, kitting them out in the latest tech, and making sure they have the best haircuts and threads in the business.
There’s a few new things on display here. Random side missions are more varied, and seemingly offer you more choices than before, and there’s a brand new strategic map where you can plot your next move. The range of customisation options has been expanded to include props, scars and weapon patterns, and you can now customise your troopers’ weapons by adding scopes, different ammo types and so on.
I’m dribbling in anticipation already. XCOM 2 is set for release this November. I’ve added a few screens below, but you can find the entire gallery here.
