Double Fine’s concluding act to Broken Age will be coming this spring, but so will a physical copy in those things historians tell us are called ‘non-digital-based product outlets’, or ‘shops’.
Nordic Games is behind the retail endeavour, and they’re particularly happy with the ”new German voice-overs” for mouse-clicking adventurers.
”I am very excited about the retail version of Broken Age,” said Double Fine President and CEO Tim Schafer, ”And also relieved, as having a widely distributed, physical copy of the game will make it more safe from solar flares and EMP bombs and stuff like that. As long as people store their disks in fire proof safes. People do that, right?”
Act one and two will ship to disc this spring alongside the digital release of act two.
Broken Age tells the tale of two teenagers living in vastly different worlds, and we’re able to switch between them at will to continue their stories. It’s a 2D adventure with a hand-painted art style, and with a Hollywood star cast such as Elijah Wood and Jack Black.
