A new point and click retro-style cyberpunk is on the way with Technobabylon, from Technocrat and Wadjet Eye Games. It will be releasing this spring for PC, along with support for Mac and Linux.
It’s the year 2087 and genetic engineering is an everyday thing, with the masses addicted to Facebook Trance replacing human interaction, and of course an oppressive police force watching everyone.
”Technobabylon takes place in a dystopian cyberpunk future where genetic engineering is the norm, the addictive Trance has replaced almost any need for human interaction, and an omnipresent AI named Central powers the city. Its all-seeing CEL police force keeps tabs on everyone… including three people who are about to meet their maker.”
Geneticist and CEL Case Specialist Dr. Charlie Regis is one of three playable characters and the first to be given a teaser trailer for Technobabylon. The two remaining are Latha Sesame, a jobless Trance addict, and Max Lao, a tech-savvy case officer.
