Obsidian has released patch 1.05 for its excellent, if slightly buggy, fantasy RPG Pillars of Eternity. As well as a bunch of bug fixes and tweaks to game balance, the update adds several convenience features.
Save games can now be renamed, sorting your stash is now easier thanks to a revised set of values, and you can now revert newly hired companions back to level one, so that you can build up their skills and talents yourself.
Not a hugely sexy update, but some welcome changes there. I never had any trouble with broken quests or bugs when I reviewed Pillars, but inevitably when it launched the complaints began to roll in. This latest patch should sort out a lot of those outstanding problems.
You can find the full list of changes here. Right now the update is only live on Steam, but it should be rolled out for the GOG.com and Origin versions in the next few days.
