The final ‘last-gen only’ Assassin’s Creed game is on the way to PC and the German classification board has slapped a 16 rating on it. Assassin’s Creed Rogue takes place between Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed III.
It was originally announced as only for Xbox 360 and PS3, with rather vague shrugs from Ubisoft as to whether it would also hit desktops. New trailers confirm it’s out on PC ”early 2015”.
Rogue is quite similar to Black Flag in that there’s a heavy mix of sea exploration and ship-based combat, as well as the more traditional mechanics. It’s set during the 18th century during the Seven Years’ War and we play as a former Assassin who’s joined the Templar.
The German rating is dated December 19th, 2014. Assassin’s Creed Rogue is expected to release on PC sometime early this year. Ubisoft has also just released new trailers exploring ‘life as a Templar’, and ‘how to become the wealthiest Templar’ for Rogue.
This is great news for anyone who feels Black Flag’s high sea lifestyle was the ‘evolution’ the series needed, and didn’t much care for the land lubber only adventures in Unity.
