Here’s your first look at in-game footage from the remastered version of Resident Evil Zero that Capcom’s planning to released in early 2016. Expect super-sharp static backgrounds, and lots of satisfying ‘plop’ sounds every time a zombie’s head goes missing.
Capcom’s also released a number of new screenshots alongside the trailer. If you loved last year’s Resident Evil HD Remake, you should be getting a similarly sweet slice of nostalgia from this.
I’m not going to post every single screenshot here, because there are tonnes of them, but I’ve cast my artist’s eye over the batch and selected a few of the most tantalising. It’s pretty impressive how well the game shapes up after more than ten years with just a little bit of modern polish.
The Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster is set for release on PC and consoles sometime in early 2016.
