Might and Magic Heroes has done its best to stay true to delivering good strategy combat gameplay throughout the years, and though Might and Magic VII may not be even close to the best of the series, Limbic Entertainment is still committed to doing its best to deliver what Might and Magic fans have come to expect. Today, they announced they’d be putting power into community hands with Steam Workshop support.
The announcement of Steam Workshop support came alongside a new patch on the blog of the Might and Magic Heroes VII Steam page. With it, modders will be able to introduce new content into the game easily via the Steam community. That includes additional content, tweaks, and fixes (the game needs plenty of fixes).
Patch 1.6, which released alongside the announcement of Steam Workshop support, is certainly trying to do its part to make Might and Magic Heroes VII more playable as well. The patch deals in many different bug fixes, game balancing, new maps, and map generation. It has fared from negative to decent across most critics, but with the help of modders, Might and Magic Heroes VII just might find a second wind and new playability via the creative minds of its community.
The patch is available via UPlay and Steam as of today.
