Volume, Mike Bithell’s follow up to cult platform adventure game Thomas Was Alone, continues to look great, with a neon, isometric VR style resembling a cross between Metal Gear Solid and Tron.
This latest trailer showcases some of the enemy troops you’ll come up against, and introduces the antagonist voiced by professional chimp impersonator Andy Serkis.
Serkis plays Guy Gisborne in this futuristic re-imagining of the classic Robin Hood story, and though we only get to hear a brief sample of his voice-work, you know he’s going to be great. I mean, he always is, isn’t he?
Enemies on display include Turrets, alert and deadly Hounds, ranged Archers and slow but deadly Knights. Seems like there’s a pretty deep roster of different enemies with their own tactics and weaknesses, which should provide lots of variety within the stealth engine.
Volume is due out this year for PC and Playstation consoles, though no specific date has been mentioned thus far.
