Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is finally here, and after garnering tons of praise from the press, interest in Warhorse Studios’ latest is through the roof. We could be looking at one of the biggest releases of the year, so you can bet veteran modders will be hitting it hard. With this article, we aim to highlight the very best Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 mods available to download now.
This massive, narrative-heavy action RPG is set in 15th-century Medieval Europe and continues the story of unlikely hero Henry, the first game’s protagonist, so we highly recommend playing the 2018 original first. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 appears to double down on deep role-playing systems and unforgiving mechanics, so this surely won’t be a peaceful walk around the countryside nor a power trip. It’s also why some players might want to tinker with certain elements of Warhorse’s ambitious sequel, and that’s where mods come in.
Scroll down below to learn about the most useful Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 mods we’ve found so far and keep an eye on this page, as we’ll be updating the list with more excellent tweaks and additions – big and small – as they come.
The Best Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Mods
- 1st Person Herb Picking II
- Instant Herb Picking II
- Totally Unnecessary Reticle for Bows and Crossbows
1st Person Herb Picking II by HerrTiSo
This first mod from HerrTiSo does exactly what it says on the cover: Ditching the weird “external camera view” of Henry when picking up herbs, thus helping maintain as much immersion as possible.
Right now, the picking animation “ends with a fade to black,” but the author promises an update will get rid of that too. The installation seems fairly simple too. Download it here.
Instant Herb Picking II by HerrTiSo
An alternative tweak to the “herb picking” action is Instant Herb Picking II by HerrTiSo again. If you don’t want an animation at all, this mod removes it completely, making the action instant.
Totally Unnecessary Reticle for Bows and Crossbows by HerrTiSo
With this one, HerrTiSo simply wanted to enable a reticle for bows and crossbows in case you needed extra visual aid. In the age of accessibility options everywhere, this would’ve been nice to have in the vanilla game, alas…
As we’ve said before, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s commitment to realism might be a tad too much for some players, so expect more mods like this one to arrive in the coming days and weeks.
