So this is weird. Assassin’s Creed 2 protagonist Ezio and his band of Assassins will be joining the cast of Toy Soldiers: War Chest, developer Signal Studios’ tower defense action game.
”Gifted with a prowess in parkour, stealth and charisma, Ezio and the Assassin’s brotherhood team up to create a fierce alliance of justice and protection,” says publisher Ubisoft. It’s not yet clear whether Ezio will be sneaking up behind an innocent toy’s back and stabbing him repeatedly in the neck with his wrist-blade.
Also joining the fray is G.I. Joe bad guy Cobra Commander and his band of international villains. Armies lead by Ezio, Cobra, G.I Joe and He-Man will be available via the game’s Hall of Fame Edition, though you will be able to add them to your toy chest separately via individual slices of DLC.
The basic edition of Toy Soldiers: War Chest will feature only the four unlicensed factions, lead by sci-fi heroine Phantom, sorcerer Dark Lord, World War One General Kaiser and magical pony Starlight when it launches later this Summer.
