Bandai Namco has confirmed that Dark Souls 3 will be released on consoles in Japan on March 24, 2016. Judging by previous entries in the series, that should mean the international audience will get their hands on the fantasy action RPG at around the same time.
For PC owners things are slightly less predictable. Dark Souls had a gap of around a year between its console release and the PC version, while Dark Souls 2 cut that down to about a month. Hopefully, we’ll be looking at a simultaneous release this time around.
Bandai Namco and developer From Software are apparently gearing up to reveal a Western release date soon, as well as a PC date.
Dark Souls 3 has been described by returning series creator Hidetaka Miyazaki as the closing part of the Souls trilogy. The developer recently revealed some returning mechanics that fans could expect from the game.
