A Ukrainian start-up is looking to market their VR gaming chair MMOne, although perhaps calling it a ‘chair’ is understating it. Ever get into one of those gyroscopic rides at the fair? MMOne has full 360 degree rotation.
A five-point seat belt acts as your harness, and the ‘pilot’ can feel all the blows, turns, breaking and acceleration, as well as collision. It has flight sims in mind, or space sims, or even rollercoasters.
The company boasts this is the world’s very first interactive virtual reality attraction, and it works with Oculus Rift DK1 and DK2, as well as numerous controllers and joysticks. Right now the MMOne is still in production and there’s no pricing yet. Obviously this is an amazing bit of kit, but motion sickness is getting turned up to 11.
Not to mention needing space to put the thing, and wherever that is you better make damn sure nothing can obstruct the chair, like a wandering pet or real world human being.
