Those of you who fancy a bit of a punch-up this weekend will be glad to know thatUltra Street Fighter 4 is available to play for free on Steam this weekend.
The brawler, which is an updated version of the core game and the fourth update to Street Fighter 4 overall, features various tweaks and adjustments based on community feedback, plus a few new modes.
As far as fighting games go, USF4 is pretty much as good as they come. Some of the additional features are surprisingly smart too; I particularly like Network Simulation, which allows you to simulate laggy online connections in the game’s offline modes, basically meaning you can practice timing your combos in a variety of situations. Neat, and thoughtful on Capcom’s part. It’s also got one of the biggest rosters in the series’ history, with fan favourite Poison and four other character unique to this edition.
Like what you play, and you’ll be able to pick up the game for good at 66% off, for $10.19. A good chance to get some practice in before Street Fighter 5 launches on PC in Spring 2016.
