Players may notice that there’s an abundance of Halloween decorations in the game. One might expect that it’s because the bombs fell on October 23 in 2077. However, it seems that they’re also there because the game recognizes the in-game date, as the folks at Reddit have uncovered some Easter Eggs, or in this case, mistletoe.
When the game enters the Christmas season in-game, Christmas trees and other decorations will pop up around the major settlements. Just because it’s the apocalypse doesn’t mean the folks will ignore the traditional holidays.
Around Halloween, guards will gripe about not getting any treats, just tricks. It’ll be interesting to see how the game celebrates other American holidays, such as the Fourth of July; the game already provides a lot of its own fireworks. Will there be colored egg hunting and bunnies around Easter (perhaps some mutated killer bunnies?) Stay tuned.
Fallout 4 was released a week and a half ago on 10 November 2015, and players continue to find something new even now.
