CD Projekt has rolled out the much anticipated 1.07 patch for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and according to a tweet from a community rep it should be available now across all platforms.
The developer revealed the key elements of the update last week, which include a new movement mode for hero Geralt that makes him control slightly less like a drunk man on rollerskates, a player stash, and (finally!) a separate area in your inventory for books.
Here’s the full patch notes. As you can see it’s quite the hefty update, and it’ll take up 7.3GB of your hard drive space. It’s a bit of a shame that all these nice little fixes, especially the ones concerning the game’s slightly iffy UI, come after many people will have finished the game, but props to CD Projekt for recognising the issues all the same.
Unless some kind of terrible bug pops up this will probably be the last major patch for The Witcher 3 in a while. The Polish team’s next concern will be getting the game’s two major expansions whipped into shape. The first, Hearts of Stone. is set to drop this October.
