Vendetta: Curse of Raven’s Cry, the reboot to the critically derided Raven’s Cry, is out today, and Topware Interactive is showing off an interactive map of the game on their website, so players can get an idea of what they can do in the pirate roleplaying game.
Players who visit the map on the official site can click on the icons - some of which are moving - to get flavor text, artwork and videos. ”Clever captains and enterprising buccaneers would do well to know the sea they’re sailing, whether it’s knowing which ports need certain goods, or which shipping lanes the traders are taking,” the developer advises.
The original Raven’s Cry was called ”the worst game of 2015” in GameWatcher’s review, though Afro Samurai 2: Revenge of Kuma may have claimed that title. The review called it ”blatantly unfinished”, as it was ”painfully dull, excruciatingly frustrating, and woefully glitchy.”
It remains to be seen if Vendetta: Curse of Raven’s Cry is no longer dull or frustrating, but hopefully it’ll have solved the glitchy parts. Gamers who had the misfortune of buying the first Raven’s Cry can upgrade to Vendetta for free.
