Top-down, Norse-themed action game Jotun is a lovely-looking thing, like a gorgeously animated cartoon come to life. Developer Thunder Lotus Games has just released a new story trailer for the game, and included within is the reveal of a September 29 release date.
In Jotun you play a Norse warrior called Thora, who accidentally dies an ”inglorious” death, and must therefore battle her way through various monsters and giants in order to prove her worth and book her all expenses paid trip to Valhalla.
That includes battling five ‘jotuns’, or giants, each with their own elemental powers and attacks. They’re the showpiece boss fights in the game, hulking beasts who like nothing more than crushing puny humans and laughing maniacally. Who doesn’t love that, to be fair.
Jotun is up over on Steam, but you can’t buy it just yet.
