Gamers who are itching to put on some sturdy sandals and fight in a dusty arena in front of screaming, bloodthirsty Romans can get their inner Spartacus on this coming October 2015, as Dorado Games’ Gladiator Online: Death Before Dishonor will be making its debut on Steam then.
Gladiator Online is promising an incredible wealth of variety as the game comes with over 60 combat skills for class-based fighters, with more than 600 items for use in battles based on classical designs. If that weren’t enough, the game will boast real-life venues that ancient gladiators actually fought in.
Players won’t just be leaping into skirmishes, either, as they will get to engage in the gladiator life, taking on the part of wealthy patrons purchasing slaves at auctions for the arena; said auctions will be live and bidding against other players. As patrons, they will take care of their fighters by hiring staff such as doctors courtesans, and helping them train in one of four classes. Gameplay is not for the faint of heart either, as Gladiators Online will have permadeath - once a gladiator dies, he dies.
