Moon Studios really knocked it out of the park with their charming and beautiful platformer Ori and the Blind Forest. The developer had announced back in August that there were plans for a definitive edition of the game alongside expansion content. Today, the studio officially announced that the definitive edition would be coming in Spring of 2016.
The announcement was made via Ori and the Blind Forest’s official Twitter. It did not make mention of what would be included in the definitive edition, but it did give a window of release for the game. Additionally, it mentioned that more news is coming soon, perhaps regarding the expansion that was teased at alongside the definitive edition.

Right now, Ori and the Blind Forest’s standard edition is running at 40% off on Steam via their Holiday Sale. It’s most certainly worth the price, but if you’re holding out or just have too many other games to play, the Definitive Edition and expansion will most certainly be worth the wait as well.
Certainly something worth keeping an eye on, expect to see more news on the Definitive Edition and the expansion to the game in early 2016.
