The upcoming film for Blizzard’s World of Warcraft has some ”good news and bad news” from director Duncan Jones. It will no longer be coming in March 2016, but instead will take an extra 3 months and release in June 2016.
It just wouldn’t really be an authentic Blizzard release if there weren’t some kind of delay. Obviously this extra time will be spent on the Murloc musical number in the second act. It will change lives.

Summer is traditionally the ‘big movies’ window, so it seems Azeroth is getting Universal Pictures’ full backing. The film is just referred to as ‘Warcraft’ and is being produced by Legendary Pictures, Atlas Entertainment and Blizzard Entertainment.
The Warcraft film will be focusing on the origins of the conflict between the humans of Stormwind and the Oricsh Horde, and will feature major locations established in the franchise.
