Cult horror icon Jason Vorhees will be hacking and slashing his way into Mortal Kombat X this May 5, as part of the brawler’s Kombat Pack DLC. The lumbering maniac’s release date was revealed in the latest Kombat Kast.
That’s actually a good point. Jason lumbers. Like, he’s specifically meant to be the sort of monster who sloooowly ambles after you, spends an hour or so catching up, and then sticks you with a big knife. No subtlety, absolutely no flair. He’s an odd choice for Netherrealm to pick as a bonus character, especially when you compare him to his fellow DLC fighter, the Predator, who’s got more weapons stashed on him than your average American citizen.
We’ll be able to check out the big guy’s moves on Monday, May 4, when Netherrealm show his three variations off in a special Kombat Kast.
Those who don’t want to pick up the complete Kombat Pack will be able to pick Jason up individually a week after that May 5 release date.
